I was in the fish business for over 40 years, so I know fish. This place is been in business for three years or more and I have frequented it many times and always have found the fish to be superior to any other restaurant or store that sells fish locally. If I'm looking for fried fish this is my number one choice in Auburn. I must give a heads up to Jim's fish fry on Wolf Street in Syracuse which would be a tad better but it's a long drive. Stop in and say hello to Benny at Fishhouse west and tell him big Mike said his fish was the best

Completely annoyed. Ordered food for work& unfortunately had to go to smittys fish house west. I called ahead & asked about specials. They told me no they didn't have any. So when I get there to pick it up I ask about them because there is some on the menu. Since I ordered what the special was separately I asked if I could be charged as the "specials" the rude little blonde laughs& walks the fuck away! I politely told them that the only reason they got the business today is because seafood express the best seafood place in town was on vacation. They larger woman half assed apologized & have a snarky have a good day comment. The older couple sitting in the fish house were like ya seafood express is much better we won't be back here. They were rude to you darlin sorry they suck at life. & I smiled cuz it was just uncalled for & VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! FISH HOUSE WEST IS TRASH! Had my people wanted anything else I would t have gotten the food there. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO THERE. IM A SEAFOOD EXPRESS PERSON& have been since I was little with my grandparents. If we didn't go there we went to eddys fish fry by the mall. I was completely polite& as I said I would t have gotten it if I had time to go to dougs. & I had to recoil the fries because they were completely undercooked !!!
